The competition hold in the first years of the post-war period by the great international industrial groups, together with the implementation of new technologies for the refrigeration, make the sliding of its core business necessary: Friges, strong of its pioneering nature that has always characterized its history, starts a production line of furnishings complements in plastic material and impose itself in the domestic market thanks to the introduction of the poured polyester resin WC seats.
A bet that guarantees to Friges, first company in the world to invest on a similar manufacturing technology, an uncontested leadrship position in the market.
From 1979, Friges consolidates its own presence in the bathroom furnishing field opening a shower enclosure production line with a modern and exclusive design: models that goes from the economic to the luxory range, collects from the beginning a remarkable success and allows Friges to conquer important space in the market shares.
At the end of the 80′s, Friges offer becoming larger with the preinsulated copper pipe: the great product success such as the Rex by Friges (developed together with the Armstrong Insulation Products) is just the consequence of another winning choise that brings Friges among the first five Italian companies of the market.
Since 1997 Friges becomes UNI EN ISO 9001 – 2000 certified company. In 2010 obtains the renewal of the Quality Management System according to UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 requirements.
Today, nearly seventy years from its birth, Friges is still a strongly dynamics company with oriented truth to the change. The development process of all the range of products is carried out in two modern industrial plants, on one total surface of approximately 120.000 mq. that receive every day approximately 250 between employs and workers.
The main pant (and its headoffice) are placed in Calamandrana (Asti – Italy) among the green Monferrato hills: the will to maintain alive what it can be considered the first, historical plant is a demonstration of how much importance Friges has for values like the well-being of its workers and the tie with its countryside, priciples usually extirpated in the industrial environement.
The strong and long dated sales presence spread all along the national country, guarantees timely measures and hurries in the resolution of possible problems; the credibility of Friges name, moreover, is testified from the oustanding performance get in the international market, than currently covers around 40 countries and it guarantees an equal turnover to 30% of the total.
