CP-VENTIL SYSTEMS

Tile mechanical anchoring system

cp_ventilCP-VENTIL-CLIP SYSTEM
CP-VENTIL-CLIP is the simplest and most convenient system for ventilated ceramic façades; the slabs do not require any processing and are installed directly on the bearing structure by means of stainless steel retaining clips, which can be painted in the same colour of slabs, thereby reducing the visual impact.
The bearing structure requires the use of vertical metal uprights, which are fastened to the wall by means of mechanical or chemical expansion plugs and slotted anchor brackets, which allow for the adjustment of the system and the thermal expansion of the various components. The distance between the vertical uprights depends on the size of the slabs, their arrangement, and the design loads on the façade. The slabs are clipped to the bearing structure with interposed neoprene gaskets to eliminate possible vibrations. Every slab can be disassembled simply by “opening” the upper clips that hold the slab using pliers and then closing them again once the slab is repositioned. The slab retaining system consists of single exposed clips press-mounted directly onto the upright structure or of a plate with 4 clips riveted on the front part of the upright. In both cases, the slab joints measure 8 mm; however, there are some clips that are inserted and riveted in the upright structure, which allow for 4 mm slab joints.

CP-VENTIL-KA SYSTEM
The CP-VENTIL-KA system consists in anchoring the slabs to the bearing structure through truncated-cone-shaped holes on the rear of the slabs in which special stainless steel mechanical expansion plugs are inserted (Keil). The slabs are equipped with truncated-cone-shaped holes. The Keil plugs are inserted and tightened in the construction site, interposing the specific clip with a neoprene gasket between the slab and the Keil plug. The number of anchor points of every single slab depends on the size of the slab and on the design loads on the façade. Normally, every slab is fastened by means of 4 clips on the rear. The bearing structure consists of extruded aluminium alloy profiles and brackets compliant with DIN 18516 standards and is bonded to the substrate using special measures that absorb thermal expansion/shrinkage and small movements of the substrate. The bearing structure has vertical uprights with T-shaped cross section, which are secured to the wall by means of L-shaped anchor brackets and expansion plugs suitable for the type of substrate. Two special horizontal profiles are installed on the vertical uprights for every horizontal row of tiles. The cross-section of the horizontal profiles is shaped to house the 4 clips assembled beforehand on the rear of the slab with an anti-tip interlocking mechanism. Every slab is fastened to the horizontal profiles by tightening only one of the 4 clips in a fixed point, whereas the remaining clips a free to slide along the horizontal profiles to allow possible movements of the structure without any stress on the ceramic slabs. Every slab can be disassembled simply by lifting the upper slab enough to create a horizontal joint of at least 11 mm to unlock and lift the slab to be disassembled. To reassemble it, proceed in reverse order.

CP-VENTIL-SLOT SYSTEM
The CP-VENTIL-SLOT system consists of slabs anchored to the bearing structure by means of special crescent-shaped slots along the horizontal ribs of the slabs. Special stainless steel mechanical retaining clips are inserted inside these slots. These slots can be made on slabs with a thickness of at least 10.5 mm. The slabs are provided already with the slots but the recessed retaining clips are inserted in the groove of the slot and tightened to the bearing structure in the construction site. The number of slots in every single slab depends on the size of the slab and on the design loads on the façade. Normally, every slab is fastened by means of 4 slots. The bearing structure requires the use of vertical uprights, which are fastened to the wall by means of mechanical or chemical expansion plugs and slotted anchor brackets, which allow for the adjustment of the system and the thermal expansion of the various components. The distance between the vertical uprights is usually equal to the width of the slab plus the design joint; the front part of the vertical uprights is shaped to house the retaining clips, which are simply pressed down with the hands. Every slab can be disassembled simply by cutting the upper retaining clips using a grinder. These will be replaced with new clips after placing the previously removed slab on the lower retaining clips.

CP-VENTIL-GS SYSTEM
CP-VENTIL-GS is a brand new system for the construction of ventilated façades. It is unique and different from any other system. Its most evident feature is the metal bearing structure, which is mechanically secured directly on the back of the ceramic slabs by means of suitable metal screws installed in special holes. The slab/structure assembly, completely performed and controlled in the factory, is “made flexible” by applying a silicon-based glue layer between all metal and ceramic elements in order to absorb any vibration and expansion. The profiles of the bearing structure of every slab are already predisposed to fit the support brackets, which in turn are anchored to the wall by means of one or more specific mountings depending on the resistance levels required by the project. The support brackets allow alignment of slabs in order to obtain a perfectly leveled surface regardless of the shape of the underlying wall. Every slab is independent and at same time connected to all others, in a flexible fashion, by means of suitable grooves in the bearing structure profiles.
