Pudu Ulu Park is the only family park in the heart of bustling Kuala Lumpur providing facilities for recreation and relaxation.
At the start of the project, it was foreseen that the buildings within the community gardens would need to reflect the overall landscaping vision of the park: to provide a space which would make greatest use of natural elements and provide a seamless transition from hard to soft landscaping elements.
The Monier Malaysia Biber round tiles, in natural colour finish, had the softness of shape and tone which was perfect for the job.
They were fondly named the ‘fish scale’ tile by the local designer.
Their curves reflected the flow of the paths around the park and the muted tones delivered the essential sense of balance and serenity.
The result is a place where the atmosphere is calm and relaxed. Monier is delighted to play a part in offering a much needed haven from the stress of everyday life in a fast moving capital city.
