Besides copper and its alloys, with their consistently high quality and diversified uses, zinc is a tried-and-tested material for a large number of applications.
KME is now offering ZINKMETAL, a new economic material for facades, roofs and roof drainage systems.
The alloy made of zinc, copper and titanium guarantees best material properties for simple and trouble-free working and for an appealing, long-life appearance.
Thanks to the contribution of copper and titan, the special alloy of ZINKMETAL clearly optimizes the use of zinc in roofing, facade design and roof drainage systems, as the addition of copper and titan ensures excellent mechanical properties and results in clearly reduced material stretching.
The finish Vintage of ZINKMETAL is available as:
- ZINKMETAL Vintage Grey – This is natural zinc which has been pre patinated to a cool grey tone.
This colour is quite stable and will not suffer any substantial changes over time, maintaining its ageless beauty for the whole of its life. It eliminates any differences in the final colour of the cladding, and is therefore especially suitable for ‘all over’ cladding. - ZINKMETAL Vintage Black – A black pre patinated zinc which results in a bold and striking design statement on any project, generating additional ‘weight’ and impact of the building.
The finish is stable and will show no appreciable change over time. Vintage Black is also perfect for use as a flashing material on slate roofs, virtually disappearing into the roof.
KME can deliver these finishes quickly and efficiently to the customer, in flexible quantities and a variety of formats and thicknesses.

Slot-in panels, standing seam and shingles are efficiently, competitively and precisely manufactured by state of the art machines within the KME organisation, to our own strict quality controls on dimensional tolerances.
